Watches are a little more delicate than the average piece of jewelry. Sure, they are made of some of the same metals of all of his other pieces, but there are a great many other things going on inside that case. Things that could be broken or jarred loose. Oftentimes my watches just get thrown into my valet just like everything else. So basically it gets no better care than my chapstick. So, if he has more than one watch, and especially if he has one of any value whatsoever, a watch box would be a great gift idea.
