Sometimes men need a little help being trendy. For the professional man, it’s so easy to be caught in the dark suit and starched white shirt routine day after day, after day. Even though business is being conducted more and more casual these days, business culture can be a really hard thing to buck. If everyone dresses a certain way, every day, it’s tough to be the guy that shows up one day with a pastel dress shirt.
While we are on the subject, color is in. It’s most likely alright to wear appropriately colored shirts and ties to the office. If he just won’t do it, always remember the accessories. I’ve spoken before about cufflinks being a really easy way to add some life to his dress without shaking his world too much. Get him some shirts with French cuffs and go nuts.
I really like these resin cufflinks. They are made of the same material as billiard balls and are available in red, black, white, blue, yellow, or orange. Even if you have the stuffiest of men, this is a great way to add a little color to his day.
