Ever had a dog? Did you train it, or did it train you? I always get a kick out of it when I see someone walking a huge dog that is obviously stronger than the person can handle. The person is straining to hold on. Always makes me wonder who is walking who.

I’ve written before about my desire to own a hidden room. I’m telling you, when I get rich that’s my one desire. Forget the expensive car; forget the home at the beach. Hello moving bookcase. My breath is held.

Is there any more famous hidden room in history than the Batcave? Remember in the live action television show that we all saw as a kid? Their secret door would open to a fireman pole that they would slide down to reach their secret lair. Now, some trivia for you, what did the dynamic duo use to open that secret door? You looked at the picture, didn’t you? Cheater.

So believe it or not, you can totally own one of these. And it really works! The Shakespeare Remote Control Bust is a full sized replica of the one used on television. I’ve always wanted to be a city slicker. No really, remember the movie? I’ve always wanted to go on a vacation where I could be a rancher. Act like the old west, ride horses, learn to throw a lasso, all that cowboy stuff. Maybe one day I’ll get to do that.

Most men have an alter ego. What I mean is there are people they wish they would have been. Maybe he wanted to be a cowboy, or a professional athlete, or an astronaut. Maybe it’s more simple than that. Maybe he just wanted to be a boat captain, or a coffee shop owner. Whatever it is, there is an important lesson here in the goal to understand men. We all have the desire to go back and be a kid again. And part of being a kid, is getting to dream of what you want to be when you grow up.

One of the most overlooked gift options for men is to do something for him, rather than give him something tangible. I found this awesome website, Vocation Vacations. The purpose of this site, is to allow someone to “try out” their dream job. They offer everything from a farmer to private investigator, a song writer to a sword maker.
