Can you believe this thing? Granted, they’ve come up with more and more uses for the trailer hitch these days. Everything from a bike rack to a storage shelf. The Round Table even has a hammock you can hang from the trailer hitch. This is nothing I’d ever considered, but it’s genius.

Back in the day (yes, I had a day, well, it was more like an hour), my friends (yes, I had, oh nevermind) and I loved to go to Jimmy Buffett concerts. I still have my grass skirt and parrot hat around here somewhere. One of the best parts about a Buffett concert, just like most concerts and sporting events, is the tailgating. I got this question on my email: My husband is dying for a pool table to start a game room. My problem with it is that pool tables are so big, and not worth much else other than playing pool. Any suggestions?? - Kristine

Well, Kristine, I can certainly understand where you are coming from. I’ve always wanted a pool table, but never owned a room big enough to hold one. At any rate, a pool table is arguably the most important item in a game room. That is the single item that will distinguish it from being just another room in the house. However, a nine footer certainly takes up a huge amount of space and isn’t easily modified to be a place to eat, do crafts, or play cards. However, I do have a suggestion.

Pictured is a pool table conversion kit that The Round Table just started carrying. This kit includes a vinyl covered foam insert that sits in the bed of the pool table. Thus, making it flat. Then, a fitted vinyl cover fits over the entire thing to basically turn it into a regular table. Because the top cover is fitted, and everything is covered in vinyl, the pool table is pretty safe from liquid, etc. Now, the one pictured has a Texas Hold’em table top printed on the cover, however, you can get this in solid colors also.

I am about to mutter a sentence that I never thought I would. It’s a combination of words that I just never thought I’ve have a need for. But, the world of mens gifts can be a tricky one, and I’m often surprised by what I find the need to talk about. So, here goes. This is a man’s blender!

Sometimes I think that I could start a new blog that concentrates on cufflinks all by itself. There are just so many cool and unique designs out there. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but cufflinks are one of the few ways that the professional man can express himself. There are only so many shirt colors, and ties have been done. Go and get him a couple new shirts with French cuffs, and he’s set for any number of unique accessories.

Check out this post and product review of an introductory home coffee roaster. Many guys drink coffee. Lots of guys drink lots of coffee. Me included. Also, with all of the recent antioxidant information about coffee, the market is surging again. Everyone buys ready-to-go coffee from the grocery store. When you’re ready to step it up, you get a little hand held grinder and start buying whole bean coffee. The next step would be buying green coffee and roasting your own. Now, I’ve never done this, but this post on the Cool Tool blog is quite compelling. If you have a guy that loves coffee, this just may be an excellent gift idea for him.
